HAIR IN RECOVERY PROGRAMME
40% DISCOUNT ON RACCOON EXTENSIONS THROUGH MEDICAL HAIR LOSS
As a proud member of the Racoon International team the Yorkshire Hair Loss Clinic is able to offer a heavily subsidised programme to provide an alternative to wigs for women suffering from medical hair loss.
The Racoon International Hair in Recovery Programme is an approved hair extensions service structured to be accessible and affordable to as many women as possible.
Racoon will subsidise 40% of the cost of the hair and bonding system to patients, whilst the Yorkshire Hair Loss Clinic will reduce its hourly rate by 20% for application and maintenance visits. It will also donate 5% of the costs to charitable causes linked to cancer treatment.
In many areas of the UK, the National Health Service (NHS) makes provision for the supply of wigs or hair pieces to cancer and dermatology patients who need them.
In order to qualify you need to have a referral from the hospital where you are being treated or you can speak to your GP and ask to be referred. If you have a condition that you are unable to cover up easily (some have specified at least 50% hair loss) then you should qualify for a wig or hair piece on the NHS.
It is up to your consultant to decide if you qualify for an NHS prescription. Some NHS Trusts provide patients with a choice of supplier, some will only provide you with the option of one.
